STEINER CIRCUM STUDIES SEMINAR REGISTRATION FORM

Register to attend the Steiner Circum Studies Seminar

Description:
SteinerCircumStudies is an ongoing seminar on the philosophical, spiritual, and scientific contributions of Dr Rudolf Steiner, originator of Waldorf schools, biodynamic farming, Camphill Communities for the mentally handicapped, eurythmy, and Anthroposophical Medical practices. Steiner has also influenced environmental work, architecture, sculpture and painting. This Fall beginning in October we will focus on his careful explication of the contributions of 12 European mystics as put forth in his book, Mystics After Modernism. We will read some excerpts from the works of these mystics as we explore Dr. Steiner's analysis. He seeks to demonstrate that their unique contributions to modern spirituality were paralleled in the emerging scientific revolution that has characterized Western societies since the end of the Middle Ages. Step by historical step, Dr Steiner shows the progress of Western spirituality during this long period of scientific discovery and the significance of this esoteric history for contemporary, modern education. The seminar is open to one and all including those with no prior experience of these subjects. The seminar will be led by Stephen D. Salamone, PHD, formerly Chairman of the Classical Studies Department at Boston University. Stephen has studied the work of Rudolf Steiner for forty years.
