Hubbard Doctors
Without Borders in Ethiopia At
age 55, Ms. Hubbard left her job as a Medical Technologist at
Morton Plant to work among the Afar people in Ethiopia treating
TB, malaria and AIDS. She has written a book about her
experience and will walk us through a slide show. She comes
from a long line of Quakers where, she writes, "The idea of
service is not preached so much as it is absorbed."

update on Ecstasy
Rising,
the 2004 documentary by Peter Jennings Mr.
Jennings reported ecstasy (MDMA) as a nightmare for drug
controllers in 2002 because of its popularity among young people.
Much has changed, owing to the "Rave Act" and the
recent need to treat PTSD among soldiers returning from the wars.
Dr. Gurvitz is a clinical psychologist, practicing many
years in Largo.
