How can you rationally decide whether to drink from the tap, treat your water, or buy bottled water? New UUC member Eileen Senn will address these questions and recommend resources. Her education and experience is in chemistry and public health. Bring information on your own water choices to share during the discussion.

Sharon Hillestad        The History of Education: How We Were Set Up for Today's Literacy Crisis

Sharon is director of the Community Learning Center in Clearwater, and Florida's Representative of the National Right To Read Foundation. As such, she is an expert on the educational "front lines."

Yvonne Charneskey        Medium for your memoirs: Written? Voicetape? Video? and how to decide., or not

Yvonne and her husband, Hank, run workshops for businesses to use videos to advertise. Occasionally they make a memoir video for an individual. Yvonne and Hank are long-time members of our congregation.

Video        Stanley Foundation report on Africa's first female president, Ellen Johnson Sirlea

Ms. Sirlea is African, born in Monrovia, and educated at Harvard and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, followed by a lifelong experience in economics and public administration. She was awarded the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize, jointly with Leymah Gbowee of Liberia and Tawakel Karman of Yemen, for their "...struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work."
