BEER
will meet at 7 PM, Thursday,
May 24 at
O'Keefe's Restaurant
on
South Ft. Harrison Road in Clearwater again to rejoice in
existence and to puzzle over the world and why it doesn't conform
to our vision of it. As Unitarians we do this kind of stuff. The
Venerable Charles Cook will preside.
And, in a
superlative burst of organization (not to mention mindless
persistence and blind optimism), BEER has put together a schedule
which will take you to Labor Day. If you print out the schedule
and stick it in your wallet, the resulting unpleasant bulge will
be a constant reminder of future BEER meetings.
Note:
BEER South will not meet this summer. Rockwell's has closed its
doors permanently and we have yet to find a place big enough to
house our grand ideas.
Keep in mind the
motto of the UUC's Brothers Engaged in Esoteric Repartee, a
saying tenuously and somewhat scurrilously attributed to the
Buddha: "On the journey to enlightenment, it is wise to stop
and have a beer along the way."
