Who Owns A Congregation?

Rev. Dan Hotchkiss, UU minister and congregational consultant, answers, "The owner of a congregation is its mission. A congregation exists to serve its mission." As we begin a new year together, we will reflect on our congregational mission and how we go about fulfilling it.

This month's Social Justice Report will be delivered by a member of the Social Justice Committee. The purpose of the Social Justice Report is to inform the congregation and the public about social justice concerns.

This is Split the Plate Sunday. This month our Split the Plate recipient will be the Pinellas Support Committee of the National Farmworkers Ministry. They are a faith based organization that supports farm workers as they organize for empowerment, justice, and equality. In these shocking times of denial of justice for immigrants, the Pinellas Support Committee of the National Farm Workers Ministry needs our support more then ever. Please give generously.
