Embracing Common Ground

Meena and Hal will explore how UU beliefs, especially the First Principal of the inherent worth and dignity of every person, have helped lay the foundation for their marriage, which brings two cultures together.

Meena currently stays home raising Raina and Jai. She is an active volunteer with the PTA, most recently serving two terms as President of her children’s school, and is also a Girl Scout Troop co-leader. In her former life she was a Probation and Parole Officer, with a special emphasis in Domestic Violence. Meena was raised in the Hindu and Sikh traditions.

Hal is employed by VF Imagewear, where he is the Manager of Retail Development. He is currently serving as a UUC Board Member. Hal is a second generation UU, and was raised in the Louisville area, where he attended Religious Education classes.
